Trini Green Seasoning – Our Ultimate Flavour Bomb

Equipment

  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Food Processor (can use pestle and mortar but will take a long time)
  • 2 Mason jars

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 1 bunch culantro aka shado beni
  • 2 garlic heads
  • 6 pimento peppers
  • 1 bunch thyme remove heavy stems
  • 4 scallions green onions
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 1 onion (optional)
  • 1 scotch bonnet (optional) de-seeded or not; depends on how spicy you like it

Instructions
 

  • Wash, drain and roughly chop herbs, onion, peppers, and other ingredients.
  • Place all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until fine. Add a little bit of water to loosen mixture up. Scrape down sides if needed.
  • Place in a glass jar, close tightly and store in the refrigerator. Will stay 1-2 weeks.
  • Alternatively, pour into ice trays, freeze. Remove cubes, place in a resealable bag and store in the freezer, until ready to use.
